Richard Rice
Director & Architect

Richard joined Michael Healy & Associates in 1989 and was one of the founding directors of Healy & Partners Architects in 1998. Richard has extensive experience in a wide variety of project types notably in education, leisure, residential and commercial projects. Richard is also involved in many of the master planning carried out within the practice , notably on projects connected with residential, retail and urban planning.

Richard leads his own team architectural team within the practice and is heavily involved in practice management with responsibilities including Health & Safety, Sustainability and Design. The quality of his work has been recognized in winning five architectural design awards and further works selected for exhibition.

He has served on the RIAI Council for a period of four years (two as Honorary Treasurer) and as Chairman of Limerick Architects Forum. He is a former lecturer at LIT in History of Architecture. As Director of the Practice, he is charged with developing and raising standards in the areas of health & safety, sustainability and design.
